I am a Perth-based visual artist and poet creating from the soul. I work primarily with oils and acrylic on canvas, and with watercolour when creating on the move. Each painting is paired with an original poem, deepening the meaning and extending the narrative beyond the image alone.
From a young age, I knew I was going to be an artist. In my high school years, I was discouraged from taking art classes, being told I wasn’t good enough in English so I will ‘struggle’. Though deeply hurtful, it never stopped me from chasing my passion. From that point forward, I taught myself and continued to grow everyday as an artist.
I believe art does not need to be flawless to be powerful.
